I liked that this shifter story had a modern twist. We are used to reading about alpha shifters who are dominant and macho but this story let the female main character have "influence" over and above the power of dominance exerted by that main male character. Without giving away the plot I think most readers will agree that the whole alpha has the power and wimpy woman needs help has been over done... This story was different in that both characters share the power of the pack and really take the time to fall in love with each other. Its not all one sided as so many stories are. I can't wait to read the next stories in the series!Product details

I'm sorry. I wanted to like this book. I really did because the writing is decent and the plot message noble. For that reason alone i gave it 2 stars instead of 1. But I couldn't even finish reading it. The character and plot development vastly missed its mark for me. I'm assuming the writer was hoping to portray a strong, inspiring heroine at the forefront of a gender equality feminist movement. What came across however, to me, was what most consider the typical millennial temperament. Entitled, whiny, narcissistic, and for lack of a better word brat. She was missing the internal fortitude you'd want a heroine like this to posses. Overall it was a good try on a good concept but when you get to 50% of the book and you still dislike the characters and are so uninspired that you truely couldn't care any less what happens to them in the end, its time to cut your losses and move on.

I've read a lot of werewolf books in my life time but this gave a whole new perspective on the shifter life
I like reading books about shifters and the like. The path she took with this book its different from most I have read. It also makes you think about your own relationship and to remember to treasure and enjoy each other and the time that you have together.
I've always loved werewolf books, and I loved how in this one, they weren't hiding from the world. Shifters aren't hated or anything, which was cool. Leah and Ty's romance was adorable! There was romance, but there was also a plot, which I loved. This book is aimed more towards teenaged girls, but I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good werewolf book.
I like this book and will be reading the others in the future. I usually don't care for the werewolf/ wolf shifter books but this one is interesting despite it being mostly about werewolves. The story is this Leah, a wolf shifter, has finally found her mate and twists and turns happens. (I don't really want to spoil it.) Some that I did not see coming. It has no explicit scenes so teenagers and adults who don't like seeing that stuff in their heads will enjoy it.
